Erinn Peet Lukes w/ The Sweet Lillies

Fellin Park, Ouray, CO

The Ouray Mountain Air Series is proud to present it's 10th annual concert series. These free events are held on Thursdays in June in our beautiful Fellin Park and are well-received by the entire Ouray community as families of all ages gear up for sun-filled afternoons, warm evenings, and picnics at Ouray’s favorite outdoor event! We can't wait to see your smiling faces! For our 3rd concert we welcome back to our series The Sweet Lillies! In 2016 they opened our series and we cannot wait have them back! The Sweet Lillies' music is, first and foremost, heartfelt and collaborative. Those defining traits are given life by the trio of musicians who make up the Lillies, Julie Gussaroff, Becca Bisque, and Dustin Rohleder, who have combined their individual strengths together to deliver powerful narratives of life in song. With their acoustic string-band lineup of guitar, viola, and upright bass given flight by ethereal, vocal harmonies that float like a dream, the Sweet Lillies' music has an old-time soul with a forward-looking eye. The Sweet Lillies have incorporated all of their cumulative life-experiences into their music, their songwriting, and their artistry, crafting an uncommonly beautiful style they have christened StringAmericana - a nod to the band’s all-encompassing musical tastes and willingness to experiment with genres. As Gussaroff explains, “Some musicians learn from teachers, some learn from family members, and some are self-taught. Some musicians are classically trained, some come up through folk, some draw from multiple springs, from hip hop through pop to bebop. In the Lillies' all of these skill sets are valuable, relevant, and appreciated.” Opening is the sweet Erinn Peet-Lukes. Erinn Peet Lukes is originally from the sunny shores of Redondo Beach, California. She left home at eighteen to explore the music scenes of Seattle and New York City. Lukes tested out her original songs playing at open mics and learned to capture a crowd while busking in subway stations and at Pike Place Market. In 2013, she moved to Denver and formed a bluegrass band called Thunder and Rain. The band toured the US, Ireland, and the UK in it's seven year run. Bluegrass's influence helped shape the flatpick-style of guitar playing that compliments her crystal clear, lilting voice, vivid lyrics and catchy melodies. Thunder and Rain disbanded in 2020 and she moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Erinn released her second solo EP, "EPL" on March 4th 2022. Food, beer, wine, spirits and our famous margarita's will be available for purchase. This is a free, outdoor, and family friendly event, so no outside alcohol, no marijuana in the park and dogs must be leashed and waste cleaned up. Please plan to support your favorite local non-profits and vendors with great food and beverages for sale. The Ouray Mountain Air Music Series is supported by local sponsors and donations.
